Feel Good Fridays (FGF): Terence Trent D’Arby

Okay… I’m sure there may be some comments on his style, look and performace (in this video while looking/listening back), but you’ve got to give the guy credit that he rocked this funky azz jam to the highest!  Happy Friday and enjoy!

  1. It was a video very much from the eighties, and it was fun to watch. I’m just reading how he changed his name and renounced the record companies.

    • cool beans man– glad you liked it (thought i may have lost my “edge”– smile)! and what’s this about D’Arby renouncing his record label and such? isn’t it “odd” that i thought about his song at the same time? wow and kinda’ cool. guess i’m not the only one to remember his music.

  2. Terence Trent D’Arby…that goes way back (it seems) – that’s some 80s shit…some smooth 80s shit at that. his shit was so smooth that even though he looked gay (i’m not homophobic, btw), he was still just hip wit his shit, ya know?! and it’s like i was thinking he had changed his name and then almost simeotaneously (sp) i saw Wilfredo’s post…talk about ‘timing’. LMAO, *YoY* said “…And I thought Terence Trent D’Arby was unique enough”…yeah, maybe it sounds better when you say [right], right?…anyway, ‘preciate that!

  3. thank you so much for the comment on this… cuz damn’ I personally think that an artist THAT unique (remember PRINCE WHEN HE SURFACED) is good enough to let true music come forth! you really hit the “nail on the head” with your comment too. I’m so glad to know that there are people out there who don’t have hang ups by the messengers, instead they truly hear the message… and in this case, the music! and yes, he did look gay to me at the time– but that made no difference to his music!! if you love music, who cares what the sexual orientation is– that’s what i will alway say! PEACE and so happy someone else enjoyed this tune besides me and Wilfredo! (big azz smiles)!!!!
