Milk… what’s really going on?

Before you look at the video below, I want to make sure I make this clear…  I AM NOT A RACIST by any stretch of the imagination.  This clip is a finely done, all wrapped up into one presentation of facts that is going on with milk.  A little back history on me: as a child, I drank milk more than water as I came in from playing outside.  I never got to a level of lactose intolerant, but I did stop drinking milk about 16+ years ago because I’d read, that people of colour only need their mother’s milk.  After having a complete physical (way back when), blood work ups and the “whole 9 yards”, I was really surprised at how very healthy I am.  I actually was a little nervous before the test results on that day so many years ago.  But… it did prove, my calcium intake, has been gained by other sources of foods, mainly veggies!  So, please look at this clip with an open mind and hopefully it will encourage everyone (not just people of colour) to research the truth behind a product that is so heavily promoted as a staple for “good” health.  I won’t say that everyone should become a vegan per se, but I’m living proof that your health can be “superior” (and that’s a word for lack of a better choice) without what we have been “trained” to think we need.  And you know… I’ve gotta’ send this particular post out to “Brandy”.  She just wrote Why O’ Why to challenge what is on this blog about certain information we do put forth.  We stand by our extensive research too.  This clip sums up the research we have done, very effectively.  It is only void one thing though… some extra info. about the hormones that cows are and have been injected with for quite sometime.

To your health!  So get on it folks!!! By the way, I don’t have any financial incentive to mislead or misdirect… shit I don’t even have an incentive for supplying information that may slow down the purchase of milk.  I’m just a cool ass muthafuka who has (thankfully) had the time to do some research and share with anyone who gives a damn. Dumb statements…

While out and about standing in line at the register today… I heard a really dumb statement.  The lady in front of me was swiping her credit card.  It didn’t go through, so she had to swipe it again.  After the third time, she actually said; “Wosh, I know I have money on this account.  You guys almost gave me some gray hairs with that (as she stroked her hair)”.  Now… here comes the dumb part, she was wearing a freakin’ weave!!!!   I thought to myself; “you do know that weave doesn’t gray”?!!!  SMH.  I know, I know… she was actually referring to her own hair, but the fact she was stroking that really bad weave as if it were her own, was just comical!

I’m thoroughly convinced that there’s a new form of crack some people are “tokin’” on.  So… what are some dumb statements you guys have heard people say?  Hey– I can’t be the only one in the world to overhear some crazy shit.  Shoot… can I?

Does Speaker Nancy Pelosi Dodge Health Care Question?

According to Committee On Ways & Means Republicans Ranking Member, Dave Camp, “the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain acceptable health insurance coverage and who choose not to pay the bills new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.”  SOURCE: Komo 4 News (ABC Seattle) Reporter Shomari Stone

Either purchase insurance or you’ll go to jail!  They can’t be serious about that, can they?  Is it me, or is there something very wrong with this?  And I just love how this administration campaigned on “transparency”, but when asked a direct question, not only did Pelosi not answer the question, she completely ignored the reporter at the end of this press conference.  I am so tired of this poorly run country and it’s politics.  It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that no matter who we “vote” for, no matter the party, they will continue to ignore what is best for the people.  I can’t figure out how they came to the conclusion that this would be necessary.  Adding legislation that would imprison you is simply outrageous and frightening.  When will people accept the fact that absolutely none of them care about the general population.  Their allegiances is clearly towards the corporations that line their pockets and in this case, it’s going to be the insurance companies.  How very compassionate of them to do something like this during the worst economic crisis ever!  Disgraceful!!

Chew on this: Conn. police say gum thefts increase

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Police in several Connecticut towns said they’re dealing with a sticky situation — chewing gum thefts. According to authorities, the number of people caught stealing chewing gum has noticeably increased recently. They believe the chewy contraband is ending up on the black market, where it’s harder to trace than some other stolen goods.  In one of the largest recent cases, a 21-year-old Stratford man was charged with shoplifting about $800 worth of Orbit chewing gum from stores in Stratford, Bridgeport and Fairfield.  In West Hartford, police have investigated four gum theft complaints since June, including one in which a 21-year-old Enfield man was charged with stealing $175 in gum from a local supermarket.  Police in West Hartford and elsewhere said gum thieves want something they can sell quickly, often to make money to support a drug addiction. That’s what the man who allegedly swiped several hundred packs of Orbit in Stratford, Bridgeport and Fairfield told police.  “There’s an entire black market all across Connecticut, where people sell stolen merchandise on the street and to businesses,” Fairfield police Sgt. James Perez said. “People peddle stolen meat, fish, candy, gum, almost anything.”  SOURCE: Associated Press

Man makes living by selling the shirt on his back

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A T-shirt a day has kept unemployment at bay for an American man who is making about $85,000 a year by selling advertising space on his torso.  Jason Sadler, 26 (pictured above), a former marketing professional from Florida, founded his own company, www.iwearyourshirt.com, in 2008 with the idea to wear a T-shirt supplied by any company and then use social media tools to promote the firm.  For his human billboard service, Sadler charges the “face value” of the day so January 1 costs $1, while December 31 costs $365. Sadler said this may not sound like a lot but it adds up to $66,795 a year if he sells out every day, which he did this year.  He also sells monthly sponsorships for $1,500, adding another $18,000 to his income.  “I walk around, take photos, wear the shirt all day … I blog about those photos, I put ‘em up on Twitter, I change my Facebook profile … and then I do a Youtube video,” he told Reuters Television.  “I made about $83,000 this year.”   The average U.S. wage is about $615 a week or about $32,000 a year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Sadler has already begun filling his 2010 calendar so, in true entrepreneurial fashion, he is expanding services by hiring another individual to wear a shirt a day on the west coast of the United States — and is doubling his price.

Something to ponder…

This looks like an old report (a few years back perhaps) but nevertheless the information contained therein is IMPORTANT and worthy of review.  It’s funny to me when  the “rep” for the CDC responds to this information, his statement alludes to a simple fact:

Vaccines may cause side affects (and they have been shown to cause death, too), but there are NO guarantees that you won’t have a negative reaction.

He and the CDC seem clueless that vaccines are “supposed” to protect you primarily (first and foremost) according to their own promotion of these drugs.  Isn’t that how the CDC refers to vaccines?  They are meant to “protect”?  The “potential side effects” (or trade off) should not include Autism or death.  I would think that they should certainly want “to achieve these two common goals” for vaccines; and ensuring low risk  and minimal reactions would be paramount. (Before they are administered to the general population.)  Look at this clip and you decide.  Something ain’t right, I tell ya’…
